•Site Rules and Regulations•

Here are our site rules and regulations, follow these and you will not face the wrath of the Admins! Please read them fully and make sure you understand them before committing to the site. We thank you for your interest in our humble little rp, and we hope that you enjoy your time here~


1. Wendigo is a semi-literate, third person P.O.V. modern day folklore role play, here we have an age restriction of 18+ due to inevitable depictions of graphic violence and gore. You have been warned...

2. You must create a separate account for each new character you make, we ask that your first account be your main account- with your desired username- and all accounts made afterwards be character accounts. So when posting for various characters, please make sure you are submitting your post under the correct account beforehand.

3. Characters must be chosen through play by’s, meaning you will choose a celebrity, or other person famous for some reason or another- within reason please- so long as you can supply sufficient images of your character, or play by.

4. To claim the face of the play by you want, be sure to always go to the Face Claim Registry board and simply fill out the forum. It’s a good idea to look here before making any new characters, because no repeats are allowed, of course. If you wish to create twin characters, you have to find a pair of twins to use as play by’s.

5. When it comes to choosing a Spirit Animal for your character, they have to be animals from within the general North American region of the map! Since we have a theme of Algonquian folklore we’d like to keep the Spirit Animals from the areas they originated- So make sure you KNOW WHERE YOUR ANIMAL COMES FROM!

6. No god modding, controlling other people’s characters, unless first granted permission from the character’s creator, and no extra illogical supernatural powers, only those mentioned in the Species Explained thread are allowed!

7. No Mary Sue, or Gary Stu personality types, even if they’re a blessed Spirit Walker, they are still human and will have flaws! Also none of the opposite, please don’t give your character so many negative qualities, that there’s no angle for others to role play with them.

8. This should go without saying, but BE NICE, and respectful of other people’s points of views, be them their personal opinions, or their character’s, we’d like to keep a peaceful atmosphere here when speaking out of character(ooc)- despite the theme of our plot~ Also DO NOT use your in character(ic) voice to display your personal grudges, or rants against another users character either!

9. Everyone is allowed no more than four character slots, unless you have proven yourself worthy(as in you can manage all four of your characters actively), then you can be granted characters on a one at a time basis, as approved by an on site administrator. There is a maximum character limit of eight total!

10. We ask that if you join you be active on the site at least once a week via posting, and for anyone who has failed to login and notify an administrator or moderator of any prolonged absences, your account will be deemed inactive after a total of two months and all of your threads and characters will be moved to the archive board- where you will have to contact an admin about rejoining and reviving old characters and threads.
